Founded in 2016, Petro Ocean Pte Ltd began its journey as an International Cargo and Commodity Brokerage firm based in Singapore. Petro Ocean Pte Ltd diversified into the trading of physical commodities, including Petroleum Products, Coal, and further expanded its services to encompass Trading and Supplies of Bunkers, as well as Logistics and Vessel Chartering Services for Tankers and Dry Cargoes across Southeast Asia by 2019.

In 2020, recognizing the opportunities in Malaysia, Petro Ocean Pte Ltd established a wholly owned subsidiary, Petro Ocean Sdn Bhd. This strategic move aimed to strengthen the group’s presence in Malaysia and facilitate domestic trading of commodities. Petro Ocean Sdn Bhd also invested in storage facilities in Perak to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

By 2024, Petro Ocean Sdn Bhd underwent a significant organizational restructuring, becoming independent from Petro Ocean Pte Ltd. This restructuring facilitated the establishment of a new subsidiary, Petronew Sdn Bhd, dedicated to pioneering initiatives in new and green energy sources.

Petronew Sdn Bhd’s strategic shift towards sustainable practices underscores its commitment to environmental stewardship and aligns with global efforts to promote cleaner energy alternatives. This move positions Petronew Sdn Bhd as a forward-thinking leader in the energy sector, driving innovation and sustainability across Malaysia and beyond.
